  • CITS (Semester System)

    These courses are offered by Institute to fulfill the objective of uplifting and upgrading the training standard of existing serving instructors of ITIs/ ITCs and Industry as well as those who aspire to become successful instructor in future.

  •   CITS Semester Program Structure:
  • Training Shedule in 2 semester for 6 months each.

    1st Semester 1st August to 31st January
    2st Semester 1st February to 31st July

    In all the trades 25% seat is reserved for sponsered candidates. If seats are vacant are filled on the merit of all India ranking.

  • For Engineering Trades

    I Semester
    1.Trade Technology - I 6 month Basic components of trade theory & Trade practical
    2.Engineering Technology 6 monthEngineering Drawing and Workshop Science & calculation
    II Semester
    1.Trade Technology - II 6 month
    2.Training Methodology6 month

    For None Engineering Trades

    I Semester
    1. Trade Skill - I 6 month
    2. Vocational Science & Calculation6 month
    II Semester
    1. Trade Skill - II6 month
    2. Training Methodology6 month
  •  Mode Of Admission : (CITS):
  • Admission is made purely on the basis of merit of Entrance Test held by DGT Ministry of Skill Development   Entrepreneurship, New Delhi. Generally in month June-July every year. Sponsered candidates from Govt. ITI may nominated to institute for direct Admission through Proper Channel. (i.e. through their state directorate)

    Selection :

    Selection of private candidates will be made on merit of all India Entrance Test to be conducted by DGT, MSDE, New Delhi

    How to apply:

    1. State Directors may send nominations of instructor working in Govt. ITI’S directly to the concerned NSTI, Director.
    2. Private affiliated ITI/ITC instructor & fresh ITI students may apply for entrance test online on DGT, NSTI, Chennai Website.

    (E) Women 30% (Horizontal Reservation)
    (F) Ward/Widow of defense Personal One seat per trade
